We are No Good
Excellence. Camaraderie. Service.
The League of Agricultural Engineering Students (N.G.) is a duly recognized academic organization of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).
Bounded by tradition, strengthened by one common existence. We are No Good.
About Us
We are grounded on the principles of excellence, camaraderie and service.
The League of Agricultural Engineering Students (N.G.) aims to engage in collective endeavors geared towards the development of its members. It aspires to inculcate the proper values of a professional Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer to its members; teach them to be aware of their roles in the community and to act accordingly.
With the 46 years of its longevity, the organization has marked its contribution among its members. UPLB N.G. makes certain of the strengths and capabilities of its members and hones these skills in order for one to grow into excellence.
The heart of UPLB N.G. is its people: with the ever-growing organization, the members show more diversity with their characters. Camaraderie is built through building connections with one another. The differences of each member has all the more created a sense of unity. Residents and non-residents alike, the members take pride in their brods and sisses and have helped each other into making the organization a more progressive one.
Vitruvian Man
Leonardo da Vinci's "Vitruvian Man", which depicts a naked human figure, symbolizes the purity and the spirit of the organization.
The ability of the organization to meet its challenging environment impartially and unflinchingly is symbolized by its level and straightforward gaze. The outstretched legs and arms depicts its reaching out to grasp and accept the realities of our environment.
Above all, it represents man's willingness to search, comprehend, and master his environment which is the goal of ABE and the organization.
History
The League of Agricultural Engineering Students was established in the year 1975, during the time of martial law. With the lack active organizations for this course, No Good (NG) was formed.
The term 'No Good' was adapted from the remarks and comments of the advisers on their exams. When their answers weren't up to their standards, they would mark the papers with a "no good", which implores that the students still have room for improvement and can do better next time.
